The documentary Es balok will be screened and the book IJS-ICE presented at the unique building of art dealer P. de Boer.

Both the film and the book are about the cooling ice industry that the Dutch once brought to the former Dutch East Indies, this cooling ice industry is still going strong there today. And the building at Herengracht 512 is an impressive example of the canal belt that was built with money from the spice trade in what is now Indonesia.
